Hotels in Sicily, Italy

Sicily is an island region at Italy's toe, famous for its ancient Greek temples, volcanic Mount Etna, and diverse cuisine. The climate is Mediterranean, with hot, dry summers perfect for swimming in the Ionian Sea at spots like Taormina's Isola Bella, and mild, wet winters ideal for exploring the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento or skiing on Etna's snowy slopes (temperatures range from 50°F/10°C in winter to 86°F/30°C in summer). You can hike up Stromboli's active volcano in spring, enjoy fresh cannoli in Palermo's markets year-round, or dive into the clear waters of the Aeolian Islands in fall.
